| In July 1995, Collin College opened its third campus, the Preston Ridge Campus (PRC), located north of Highway 121 and east of State Highway 289 (Preston Road) in Frisco. |  -
Construction is complete on a 70,000 square foot addition to the Preston Ridge Campus. This new building houses 26 general classrooms and four science labs. -
Preston Ridge Campus centers on a grand library building integrated with art studios, music labs, a large lecture hall, science and technology classrooms and faculty offices. In addition, the college’s culinary arts program will move to the Preston Ridge Campus in 2009. -
The library is home to 40,000 scholarly books, 300 magazine, journal and newspaper subscriptions, 90 computers with the latest software and 20 study rooms. -
PRC also houses the college’s high-tech and business programs. The campus is home to the first academic “Convergence Lab” in the state of Texas, which is the centerpiece of the Convergence Technology Center, a National Science Foundation (NSF) initiative. One of 33 NSF Centers, Collin College’s Convergence Technology Center serves as a national clearinghouse for Convergence Technology educational materials and training. -
A comprehensive fine arts program—from dance and music to visual arts— is available at the Preston Ridge Campus. -
