Please read the following information before requesting an official transcript.
The Admissions and Records Office (ARO) reserves the right to make changes or deletions to this information at any time without notice. 

  1. Student's signature is required to release transcript(s).  
     

  2. Requests must be submitted by the student.
     

  3. If student has moved from the address of record, request must include a statement indicating the change of address.
      

  4. Official transcript will be sent by electronic mail (if Texas college or university is on electronic transcript network) or first class mail. Complete mailing address is required.
     

  5. Third-party requests from colleges/universities must include a Release of Student's Records signed by the student. These requests must be submitted by mail or fax and will be sent by first class mail.
     

  6. Third-party requests in person must have written consent signed by the student indicating the name of the person authorized to receive the transcript.  Third party person will be required to show photo ID
     

  7. The Admissions and Records Office does not accept telephone requests from students or third parties.
      

  8. Official transcripts from Collin are free of charge and students may request them in one of the following ways:

                a.  Request in person:  

                    Student can visit the Admissions and Records Office at any of our campuses. Student must show a photo ID to obtain a transcript on request.  Students requesting transcripts to be sent by mail must fill out a Transcript Request form.  Complete mailing address is required. Transcript requests to be mailed to an address different from the address of record will require a change of address notification.

                         b.  Request by mail

                              Student must include the following information:

  • Full name (previous name, if applicable)
  • CWID number and/or date of birth
  • Current mailing address and phone number
  • Number of transcripts requested and the address where each is to be sent
  • Student's signature is required.

                    d.  Request by Webline:

               Students who want an official transcript sent directly to the address of record or to a college/university may send an online request. CWID (or social security number) and PIN number are required to access the online (Webline/Student Services) system.  No third-party requests are accepted by Webline (online system).
