Carrie Garrott
received her B.F.A. in Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design from Texas Tech University in Lubbbock, Texas in 2002 and a
M.F.A in Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana in 2006.
Carrie has taught courses in Jewelry & Metalsmithing,
Design II (Basic 3D),
and currently teaches Design I (Basic 2D) at Collin College's Spring
Creek Campus.
Carrie has shown work in numerous national and international juried exhibitions throughout the United States,
receiving several awards including the 2005 Niche Student Award in Jewelry Design, the 2005 Friends of Art Graduate Award for Merit from Indiana University and the 2006 Robert Harrison Award for Excellence in Bloomington, Indiana.
Her work is in various private and public collections including the Museum of Art and Design in New York, NY and Texas Tech University’s Teaching Collection in Lubbock, Texas.
