Cheryl McGrath has a B.F.A. in Art History from Southern Methodist University and an M.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A & M University – Corpus Christi.

She has written online Art Appreciation and Twentieth Century Art courses and taught Art History Survey and Art Appreciation for nine years.

Cheryl was the co-owner of a Dallas area graphic design firm for eighteen years prior to becoming an art professor. She lived in Chicago for ten formative years after high school, raising two daughters and helping her husband through art school.

Her artworks are 3D mixed media forms combining interpretations of recent experiences, their relationship to nature and Native American myths such as Grandmother Spider as well as 2D text based constructions.
