Carter
Scaggs has been teaching at CCCC since
1993. He teaches Design I, Life Drawing I & II, Life Drawing Portfolio, Printmaking I
& II, and Printmaking Portfolio. The intaglio and linocut printmaking processes and drawing
are his preferred media. He has shown his work in galleries and
competitions nationally. Mr. Scaggs received his B.F.A in Printmaking from
the University of North Texas and his M.F.A. in Printmaking from Indiana
University. As a second-generation artist/teacher, Mr. Scaggs has been
involved in art education from an early age. His philosophy of teaching is
based on what he remembers of his best teachers. They shared their
knowledge, loved their craft and sought to help each student be
successful. |
