Plan (QEP) Getting to the Core: Learning Communities and Student Learning Outcomes What is the QEP? The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is a key component of the reaffirmation process required by the Commission on Colleges (COC) of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). The Commission's new "Principles of Accreditation" requires institutions seeking accreditation or reaffirmation of accreditation with the Commission to develop "a carefully designed and focused course of action that addresses one or more critical issues related to enhancing student learning. The QEP is an opportunity for the institution to focus on a topic or issue crucial to improving the quality of student learning and should represent a significant commitment to enhancing the quality of student learning. As a comprehensive community college, Collin embraces an inclusive strategic planning process that guides the growth and development of educational programs and services. The goals of the Quality Enhancement Plan have been incorporated into the college-wide strategic planning process and will serve as a cornerstone for the institution's continuous improvement initiatives. The Collin County
Community College District's QEP theme is "Getting
to the Core: Learning Communities and Student Learning Outcomes." |
