In addition, the college received the coveted "Best of the Web" award from the Center for Digital Government for its "e-schedule," a downloadable catalog/schedule system. Teacher Certification Program
Collin College's Alternative Teacher Certification Program was one of only 10 in the nation to receive a Teaching By Choice Award from the American Association of Community Colleges. Collin College's Alternative Teacher Certification Program was the first of its kind at a community college in the nation. Premier Institution
Collin College was named a model institute by Moody's Investor Service, and was awarded a $887,146 skills development grant from the Texas Workforce Commission and granted participation in a $2.8 million grant from the U.S. Department of Labor.
