The purpose of the National Technical Honor Society is:
1) To promote the ideals of honesty, service, leadership, and skill development among
America's future workforce
2) To reward scholastic achievement in career and technical education
3) To assist Society members in their pursuit of career and educational goals
4) To help build and maintain a stronger, more positive image for career and technical
students, programs and schools in the local community and throughout the nation
5) To encourage the practice of high standards of personal and professional conduct and
individual responsibility among the membership
6) To advance the growth and ideals of the Society throughout Collin College and the
surrounding communities.
MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
Membership is open to any enrolled Collin College student who:
1) Is enrolled in a workforce education program or major.
2) Maintains a GPA of 3.0 or better.
3) Is enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours at Collin College and/or is an alumni
member up to one year following graduation.
4) Has submitted two (2) recommendations from Collin College faculty and/or staff,
business or community member (family excluded).
5) Has paid the current one-time, non-refundable enrollment fee (payable to the National
Organization) established by the National Board of Directors.
