Chi Gamma Chapter
The purposes of this Chapter are to promote literary scholarship, provide service to the community and the College, and cultivate friendship and fellowship among its members.
MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
An Active Member is a student who:
1) has completed at least twelve semester hours of college credit coursework at Collin
County Community College District, with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.3.
2) is currently enrolled in at least three (3) semester hours of college credit coursework at
Collin College.
3) has completed at least one college-level English course of three (3) hours.
4) has a minimum GPA of 3.0 in English courses.
5) has applied to become a member of the society and the chapter, including presenting a
completed application form and payment of dues.
6) has attended at least two Chi Gamma Chapter meetings/events per long semester.
A Provisional Member is a student who:
1) is currently enrolled in at least three (3) semester hours of college credit coursework at
Collin College.
2) has shown and active interest in the affairs of the Society and serves the Society in some
capacity, but does not yet meet the full requirements for active membership in the Society.
3) has paid one-time chapter dues only.
4) maintains at least a 3. 0 cumulative GPA.
