Everyone needs more space. Or maybe everyone just needs to learn how to use their allotted space better and more efficiently.
That's Carole J. Hayman's area of expertise – one she teaches at Collin College's Continuing Education department. She is an instructor of Interior Design I and II, and the History of Furniture.
She's worked in the field of interior design for more than 25 years and taught it since 1996.
"I am inspired to teach the subject of Interior Design not only because I love the subject, but I am inspired to instruct students on good design principles for their home and to spark their interest in furthering their education in this subject," Hayman said.
Hayman started her career at Maurice Pierce and Associates as a colorist in 1983. There she undertook such duties as coordinating in-house and client architects and interior designers and selected colors and materials to be used in planning and decorating stores.
"I can share practical experience and insight into the subject content which helps enable students to visualize and engage in the continuing education class as it relates to their own life and to carry the insights with them in their future endeavors," Hayman said.
