I was created to teach. I am the happiest person on the planet when I am in the classroom, and I see the smiles of my students, and the gleam in their eyes of a new subject mastered.

I love showing my students how to achieve their own personal style of design. There is nothing like helping students get that wow’ factor.

Being able to share your knowledge with a student who is just learning is an amazing experience. I love seeing the sense of accomplishment and the look on the students’ faces when they truly ‘get it’.

I am inspired to teach the subject of Interior Design not only because I love the subject, but I am inspired to instruct students on good design principles for their home and to spark their interest in furthering their education in this subject.

There’s a certain amount of credibility that an instructor commands when you, the student, realize that he or she is going to give you more than what’s in the textbook or lecture notes.

Through the written or spoken word, being able to clearly and concisely tell others what's on your mind, or, maybe, why you should buy your product over the competition's, is extremely important.

Students want instructor-led training. If they didn't then they’d simply go to a bookstore, and read up on what they want to know. Students want to ask questions, they want to interact with someone who knows the topic they want to learn. Books, online videos and DVDs are one-sided conversations.

Dr. Ron Day has more than 30 years of experience in information technology. His expertise ranges from multimedia, web development, artificial intelligence and more.

Just the idea of sharing information, my experiences and training with students that are anticipating learning something new for them is exciting, and gives me inspiration to continue to teach.
