Ten things to know about CougarWeb and Banner (For employees)

1) CougarWeb and Banner will replace their predecessors, SIS, FRS, HRS, OASIS and Webline. Banner is a suite of products produced by Sungard to upgrade our systems for student information, financial aid, human resources and finance.

2) Banner is being rolled out in phases over the dates below Please note that OASIS will be disabled in stages and retired by September 1, 2008.
• Purchasing – July 1, 2007
• Finance – September 1, 2007
• CougarWeb Phase I (Finance) – October 15, 2007
• CougarWeb Phase II (Human Resources) – April 29, 2008
• Student Admissions – May 25, 2008
• Student Registration – June 24, 2008
• Financial Aid – CougarWeb Phase III (Student, Faculty)

3) CougarWeb is the portal into your information here at Collin College. From here, you will be able to use Banner "Self Service" to access your HR info, budgets, purchase orders, requisitions and more.

4) WIth Human Resources go live in April 2008, you will also be able to look at your paystubs and benefit elections from CougarWeb. This will replace the paystub functionality within WBA. A later phase will provide on-line time sheets and leave forms.

5) To log into CougarWeb for the first time, go to http://cougarweb.ccccd.edu and enter your Novell ID and password.

6) No more fumbling with dozens of different logins and passwords. Since CougarWeb and many of the other new systems use your Novell login and password, you ultimately will be able to use a single username and password to log into many different systems including:
• Banner Self Service
• ePrint
• PATH/PeopleAdmin
• Workflow
• AppWorx
• GroupWise

7) CougarWeb will provide you with the ability to access your workflows or generated reports through the My Workplace tab, offering one click access to a user’s specific account in the Workflow and ePrint products. (Summer 2008)

8) OnCourse degree audit will be replaced by CAPP to check degree requirements for students graduating Fall 2008 and later. CAPP training will be rolled out to advisors and staff priot to Fall 2008.

9) Summer 2008 registration will be done through Webline (the old student system). Fall 2008 registration will be done through Banner in CougarWeb through the "Registration Tools" channel.

10) Spring and summer Financial Aid information for 2008 will be available through Webline. Beginning with the fall semester 2008, financial aid information will be available through CougarWeb.
