SAT Verbal Review

Description:
Test-taking strategies for the six components of the verbal portion of the SAT: sentence completions, critical reading, essay writing, improving sentences and paragraphs, identifying sentence errors will be emphasized.

TOEFL Preparation

Description:
This course will provide review and test-taking strategies for the TOEFL exam. Four review areas will be covered: listening, reading, writing and speaking. Note: Effective September 2005 the next generation TOEFL test will include an additional section: Speaking. This test is similar to the TSE (Test of spoken English) and the TAST (TOEFL Academic Speaking Test). Students are encouraged to enroll in either the Advanced Pronunciation class or the Accent Modification class in order to prepare for the next generation TOEFL test.
