Health Unit Clerk

Description:
Health Unit Clerks perform a range of clerical duties that support the operations of the unit, such as greeting visitors, ordering supplies, assembling patient charts, answering telephones and entering patient information into the computer. Medical terminology, law & ethics, safety/risk management, order entry and medical charts will be discussed along with other topics.

All students must attend mandatory info session.

Training will include 128 hours of classroom and 80 hours of clinical instruction. Clinical training will be arranged with instructor after successful of completion of classroom training.
