Cake Decorating I
Prerequisite(s):

Description: Instruction in the basic art of icing a cake. Topics include cake decorating tools, and styles of cakes. You will learn how to properly bake, torte, fill, and ice a cake. Learn how to cover a cake board and transport cakes. A supply list of required materials will be given during the first session. Please be aware this course will have additional costs for purchase of supplies.

Cake Decorating III
Prerequisite(s): Cake Decorating I, II.

Description: A complete review of techniques from previous courses will be covered. Students will practice all techniques and all questions will be answered. Advanced Fondant, stacked cakes, cake sculpting and celebration cakes will be completed in class. Other topics about running your own cake decorating business, where to find customers, laws and health code requirements will be reviewed. Students are not required to bring a cake to this class.

Color Theory & Design Principles
Prerequisite(s):

Description: Explore the elements and principles of design and how the application of color plays an important role in creating a work of art, whether it be on canvas or decorating a home or office. Study cultural and symbolic meanings of color, how pigments have evolved, and how to expand compositional sensibilities.

Floral Design I
Prerequisite(s):

Description: Learn methods of fresh floral design for home that include styles, composition, types of flowers, greenery and materials. Discover how to make beautiful bows to accent your arrangements. Specific arranging will be done with bouquets, centerpieces, and topiaries. Designs and flowers will depend on the season. Student will take home their created design at end of each session.
Materials Needed: A $65 floral supply fee payable to instructor at the first class. Also bring to the first session clippers, knife, and hot glue gun. Please wear tennis shoes to class

Floral Design II
Prerequisite(s): Floral Design I.

Description: Continue learning and practicing design techniques learned in Floral Design I. Learn how to do wedding bouquets, corsages, buttonnieres and head pieces.
Materials Needed: A $75 floral supply fee payable to instructor at the first class. Also bring to the first session clippers, knife, and hot glue gun. Please wear tennis shoes to class (floor can be slippery).

Description: Learn to apply interior design principles to room function, space planning, color schemes, furniture styles, window, floor and wall treatments, lighting and accessories.
