Emerging Scholars

An "emerging scholar" is a student who has a commitment to learning, who has demonstrated a special talent in a particular discipline, and who has been identified by an instructor as having the potential to excel.

Emerging Scholars in Math and Science

This program was created to recognize outstanding students for their commitment to learning, demonstration of a special talent in their discipline and the potential to excel. Selection is not based solely on academic status, but on character and integrity. Students are chosen by their instructors in the areas of mathematics, biology, chemistry, environmental science, geology and physics.

Emerging Scholars in English and Foreign Languages

This program was created to recognize outstanding students for their commitment to learning, demonstration of a special talent in their discipline and the potential to excel. Selection is not based solely on academic status, but on character and integrity. Students are chosen by their instructors in the areas of English, foreign languages (including sign language).
