Meghan Cardwell-Wilson
Meghan Cardwell-Wilson has been a dancer and a writer all of her life. She earned an M.F.A. in dance performance and choreography from Texas Woman’s University where she was the recipient of the Excellence in Research and Writing Award and a member of Phi Kappa Phi honor society. Prior to graduate dance study, she attended Austin College in Sherman, TX, graduating with a B.A. in English and Philosophy. Cardwell-Wilson has studied at the American Dance Festival in New York City, working with John Jasperse, Mark Haim, Gerri Houlihan, and Lisa Race. She has also studied with Bebe Miller and Nancy Stark Smith at Bates Dance Festival in Maine. She has presented her work throughout the DFW area and performed the work of Muscle Memory Dance Theatre, Larry Keigwin, Amy O’Neal, Sarah Gamblin, and others at venues extending from Texas to Washington, D.C. and Cincinnati, OH.
In addition to teaching at Collin, Cardwell-Wilson has taught dance studio and theory courses for Texas Woman’s University, Tarrant County College, and North Central Texas College. She currently serves on the board of directors for Ghost Town Arts Collective, a non-profit arts co-op dedicated to presenting the work of regional artists in visual and performing arts.
