Credit by Exam Fire Science Courses General Guidelines ollin County Community College awards college credit on the basis of a variety of departmental examinations. Credit by examination is subject to the following general limitations: 1) A maximum of 18 semester hours of credit by examination at this institution or elsewhere may be applied toward the associate degree. 2) Credit by examination will not be transcripted until the student has accumulated six semester hours at Collin County Community College. 3) Student must be currently enrolled at Collin County Community College and must be in good academic standing. 4) Credit earned by examination may not be earned in any course for which the student has previously received a semester hour credit grade either at this institution or elsewhere. (Grades of 'F' are included.) 5) Credits earned by examination are not included in the computation of grade point average. 6) A minimum score of 70 is required for credit by examination. 7) Student eligibility for credit by examination for Fire Science courses is determined by the Fire Science Office. 8 A fee of $30.00 is charged for each locally administered examination. 9) Students must schedule the exam by calling the Fire Science Office at 972.548.6836Eligible Courses and Requirements
