The opportunity of being a part of the HCSA is not one that any
logical student should pass up. In the midst of being educated,
a person has the opportunity to be a part of a worthy organization.
Whether one wants to be in the food industry, or if he or she
simply loves to eat food, the group embraces all members. Through
the group a person can develop true friendships with real down
to earth people. The possibilities are endless and the rewards
are plentiful. Some include, assisting with needy causes, character
development, a better understanding for the details involved in
the service industry, and don't forget about the all expense paid
trip possibilities. Chicago, food, networking, and one never know
he or she may just get to see the President of the United States
speak in person. Be adventurous, be daring, gain knowledge, get
engaged, but most important, be apart of something great that
is spelled out as Hospitality, Culinary, Student Association!

Attitude, intelligence, determination. You've got it all ---
and now you can be apart of an organization that will help to
succeed to levels you could not imagine. The Hospitality and Culinary
Students Association (HCSA) is just the organization enhance the
skills you have now and foster your talents for the future. In
just the short time I have been a member of HCSA I have enjoyed
many of the benefits the organization has to offer. I feel that
I was extremely privileged to have accompanied other members to
the National Restaurant Association convention and exposition
in Chicago this past May. It was an experience would not have
had the chance to do on my own. The information I took away from
being exposed to the NRA cannot be measured. Through the organization
I have met some extraordinary people on both the culinary side
and the hospitality side. The camaraderie within this organization
is none like I have ever experienced before. Through HCSA I have
learned about culinary avenues that I didn't know existed. The
HCSA is very community conscience and puts much effort into its
community service activities. Once you join you really don't want
to miss a meeting-in addition to networking with others with similar
hospitality and culinary interest, learning about what is happening
on campus with hospitality and culinary issues -there is always
great food! Another great benefit of HCSA is that the meetings
are usually held on a Sunday afternoon-which lends to a more laid
back atmosphere. Members are more relaxed and the creativity just
flows through the meeting. In joining HCSA you get all the esprit
de corps, networking, and relevant updates as it applies to our
hospitality and culinary interests, great food and all at no
cost! It doesn't get any better than this. Joining HCSA
would be one of the better decisions you will ever make. It was
for me.
