Dallie Clark

I have the finest job in the world. As an instructor of the humanities, not only am I able to discuss humankind’s amazing creativity and inventiveness, I am paid to keep learning! No broad field of study yields a greater attraction to me than the humanities – and I believe that those who continually nurture this study have the capacity to influence countless others around them in positive - perhaps unfathomable - ways. My vision, then, is to share the humanities in the classroom – and to “pay forward” its vast rewards to my students.

My teaching career began in 1998, and my only regret is that I didn’t discover it sooner in life. In addition to teaching full-time at CCCC, my other favorite activity is nurturing my family. I am also a freelance magazine writer, a perturbed poet, and have special interests in film, cultural trends, and historical links. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Alabama, a Master of Liberal Arts degree from Southern Methodist University, and am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Humanities at the University of Texas at Dallas.
