The purpose
of this examination is to measure the abilities, skills, knowledge,
and attitudes that are important for successful achievement in schools
of nursing. It consists of 5 tests which measure academic aptitude,
spelling, reading comprehension, information in the natural sciences,
and vocational adjustment.

The PSB Exam includes five areas: Academic
Aptitude, Spelling, Reading Comprehension, Natural Science and
Vocational Adjustment. The exam is given in the Testing
Center at the Central Park Campus in McKinney. Please
allow three hours to take the exam There is a $15.00
non-refundable fee for the examination. Registration
is made on a first come-first serve basis and can be done in the
Nursing Department (B336- 3rd Floor B Wing) Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:00 p.m.
Please make all payments in the Bursar's Office after verifying
with the Nursing Department that the desired date is available.
Payment can be made by cash, check, or credit card. There is
limited space for each exam, you are advised to register early.
Though not recommended, you may register by mail with a money
order only, but risk being unable to take the exam on the date
you want should it be full by the time your payment is received.
