Collin College Photography Scholarships
About the Scholarships: The Collin College photography department awards scholarships to enhance and further students' education. The scholarships promote continued education in photography, by covering registration fees and exhibiting experience, by organizing a group exhibition for the scholarship recipients.
Jurors: Lupita Murillo Tinnen - Chair of Photography, Elizabeth Mellott - Professor of Photography, and Marcy Palmer - Professor of Photography
Awards: 3 - $500; $150 is for class fees - distributed through registration, $350 is for material fees for the exhibition - distributed in May as cash
Eligibility: The scholarship is open to any student who is attending Collin College photography classes, and is choosing photography as their main discipline. All photographic processes are encouraged including: traditional, digital, non-silver, and sculptural.
Entries: 6 photographic pieces from a cohesive body of work, written statement, and an application. Each entry must be labeled with the following: name, contact #, title, and media. Artwork and paperwork must be delivered in a portfolio box.
Applications: Please pick up applications from the photography wet lab office, Room SCC H237.
Delivering work: Work must be delivered to the photography wet lab, and then be placed in the studio.
Liability: Insurance is the sole responsibility of each artist. Care will be taken in handling the artwork; Collin College is not responsible for lost or damaged work.

Work pick up date December 14 - 16, 2009 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
