New Student Orientation

Welcome to Collin County Community College’s New Student Orientation.

It is strongly recommended that you attend one of these Orientations to receive vital information, such as meeting current faculty, receiving a tour of campus, and learning about opportunities inside and outside the classroom.  Students will also receive the College Catalog, the Student Handbook and other essential information guides.

We are here to help and direct you, answer your questions, address your concerns, and learn from you. We sincerely believe that orientation is a process, not merely an event. In order to best serve you, we have several different types of orientation sessions.

Dates and locations for Summer 2008 sessions are:

New Student Orientation— Targets recent high school graduates students. Meets from 9:30am - 3:30pm to give students a day filled with many resources.  Lunch is included.

July 29, 2008 - Tuesday, 9:30 am to 3:30 pm at Spring Creek Campus - Plano

July 31, 2008 - Wednesday, 9:30 am to 3:30 pm at Preston Ridge Campus - Frisco

August 2, 2008 - Saturday, 9:30 am to 3:30 pm at Spring Creek Campus - Plano

August 7, 2008 - Thursday, 9:30 am to 3:30 pm at Preston Ridge Campus - Frisco

August 12, 2008 - Tuesday, 9:30 am to 3:30 pm at Central Park Campus - McKinney

August 19, 2008 - Tuesday, 9:30 am to 3:30 pm at Spring Creek Campus - Plano

 

 

 

New Student Orientation for International Students Only— Orientation for international students targets the specific needs and requirements of international students attending Collin College. Lunch is included.

August 22, 2008 - Friday, 9:30 am to 3:30 pm at Spring Creek Campus - Plano

 

New Student Orientation for Non-traditional Students — Orientation for non-traditional students targets those returning to college after an extended break and adult students starting college for the first time. This intensive orientation is held in the evening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.   Lite snacks included.

August 5, 2008 - Tuesday, 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Preston Ridge Campus - Frisco

August 13, 2008 - Wednesday, 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Central Park Campus - McKinney

August 21, 2008 - Thursday, 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Spring Creek Campus - Plano

 

Attendance is free for all sessions.
