EMT/Fire Science Assessments

EMT/Fire Science/Paramedic Assessments are given at the Central Park Campus Testing Center in McKinney.

EMT/Fire Science applicants must take the following assessments:
- Fire Science Math Assessment
- Fire Science Reading Assessment
Paramedic applicants must take the following assessments:
- Paramedic Math Assessment
- Paramedic Reading Assessment
- Paramedic Writing Assessment

Candidates must meet the minimum score requirement on all assessments to be eligible for the Physical Ability Test.

The minimum scores for EMT, Fire Science, and Paramedic are as follows:

Reading: 75
Math: 72
Writing: 6

These assessments are administered on a walk-in basis. Please allow three hours to take the combined assessments. NO calculators are allowed during the test.

These assessments may be taken twice in a semester, if needed. If retaking an portion of the assessment, a 24 hour waiting period is required.
