How Can ACCESS Assist Me?

- Provide classroom
accommodations.
- Provide adapted
test conditions.
- Provide note
taker assistance.
- Provide academic
advising and personal guidance.
- Provide sign
language interpreters and captionists.
- Provide individual
and group tutoring, in addition to online
tutoring (2 hours a week).
- Assist with special
needs center equipment - Braille printer, large print readers, scanners,
voice-synthesized speech program.
Who is Eligible?

Services are available to any student who has a documented
disability as defined by Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973
and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. This can include, but
is not limited to, those with the following conditions or impairments:
mobility, psychiatric, orthopedic, Deaf or hard of hearing, vision, learning,
speech, neurological, and other health-related disabilities. Individuals
with temporary disabilities due to injury or surgery are also eligible
for short-term services. Students seeking accommodations will be asked
to provide current documentation of their disability.

Who and Where are
the ACCESS Advisors?

The ACCESS Office is located at Spring Creek Campus, Room
G-200. Office hours are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with extended
hours during registration. Upon special request, an evening appointment
or a meeting at our other campus locations can be arranged. Advisors can

ACCESS
(Accommodations at Collin County For Equal Support Services), following
ADA guidelines, provides reasonable accommodations, individual attention,
and support for students with disabilities who need assistance with any
aspect of their campus experience such as accessibility, academics, testing,
