If you’re enrolled in a Collin class, you may submit an essay for review by an Online Writing Lab Tutor.  Follow these instructions to submit your essay via e-mail:

Students may access the Online Tutor in several ways--

• The most direct link to the Online Writing Lab is to go to:  http://www.ccccd.edu/writingcenter/online_tutor.htm

          On the page, click on “Online Review” to access the form.

 

• There is also a link to the Online Tutor on both the Communications & Humanities Division and the English Department homepages of the CCCCD website (www.ccccd.edu).

 

• Students may also access the web page from the Student Services page, by clicking on “Online Writing Tutor.”

 

Students may not submit papers as attachments to e-mails.  There is an easy-to-use form on the web page to type the necessary information and then type or paste the paper into the correct box.  Be sure to fill in all necessary information in the boxes.  Please do not leave any fields blank.  When all boxes are complete, simply click on the “Submit Form” button to send your paper to an online tutor.

 

When the paper has been reviewed by one of the online writing consultants, it will be sent back to the student as a Word document, complete with comments and suggestions for improving the paper.

Allow 72 hours for the Online Tutors to review and return your file. Reviews are completed in the order in which the files are received. Students are limited to two 45-minute sessions per week (no more than 5 pages per session). You will be advised by e-mail if, for any reason, the Tutor cannot review your paper.
